IT/Network Administrator

Mauer Eye Center is looking for an IT/Network Administrator responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the information system. This position is responsible for the network infrastructure (including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, ect.), PC and thin client hardware, server hardware and maintenance of all operation systems. Also included is management of the telephone system, HVAC environmental controls, door access controls, video surveillance and alarm system.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008R2 and Server 2012R2, Windows 7 and 10 Professional operating systems.
  • Knowledge of virtualization using VMWare ESXi hypervisor and vSphere Client.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Terminal Server and Windows 7 Embedded thin client implementation using RemoteAPP.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy Object management.
  • Knowledge of Cisco ASA firewall, switch and wireless technologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as a variety of other business software packages.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server 2013.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 and beyond.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint 2013.
  • Knowledge of web server technologies and WordPress is helpful.
  • Willingness to learn new technology and software as it becomes available.
  • Understanding of the importance of backups and business continuity planning.
  • Have excellent communication, comprehension and writing skills. In addition, problem solving skills are a must.
  • Knowledge of physical and network security principles and auditing so that the practice can remain HIPPA compliant.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to present information and respond to questions from system users.
  • Excellent documentation skills are required.

Billing Supervisor, Ophthalmology

Waterloo, Iowa

 

Mauer Eye Center is looking for a Billing Supervisor responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the Billing Department. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily workflow of medical billing and collections activities of staff. Completes and analyzes reports and audits. Serve as the subject matter expert for billing, coding and documentation. Facilitate continuous training within the billing department and throughout the facility as needed. Maintain current and accurate data for providers. Maintain physician credentials and assist with billing, pre-certifications and authorizations.

 

Qualifications:

Thorough knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 required.

High Accuracy in recording financial information.

Ability to communicate effectively with Doctors, patients and staff.

Ability to perform calmly under pressure.

Must be able to multitask and prioritize.

Ability to follow through on assignments and handle frequent disruptions.

Must have problem solving skills.

 

Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Property/Building Management

Our Property/Building Management is responsible for ensuring the maintenance, preventive maintenance and repairs of both the interior and exterior of our medical facility as well as performing grounds maintenance and snow removal (seasonal). This includes, but is not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire protection, life safety, and all other building systems & equipment. Completes maintenance & preventative maintenance tasks, oversees maintenance, installation, and repairs of 3rd party vendors & tradesmen and performs ground maintenance and snow removal.
Responsibilities:
• Perform hands-on maintenance work and basic repairs, ground maintenance and snow/ice removal (seasonal).
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on all facility equipment as required.
• Supervises and follows up with vendors, contractors and custodial staff.
• Oversee maintenance vendors and 3rd party tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance utilizing them for more technical/advance skill-level work.
• Performs maintenance tasks such as; cleaning, repairing building fixtures, (lights, locks, windows, doors, walls, floors, gutters, drains), carpentry, painting, and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
• Inspects and maintains building systems (HVAC, ventilation, plumbing etc.).
• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment. Order parts and supplies as required. Appropriate supply management.
• Ensures adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
• Responds immediately to emergency situations. Keeps Administration apprised of status.
• Participates in coordination of projects.
• Completion of work with minimal supervision.
• Performance of miscellaneous duties inherent to the job and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
• Must be available for off-hour emergency calls, such as: fire alarms, building alarms, flooding, etc.
• Must be willing to clean.
• Must be reliable and have a great eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven experience as maintenance or facilities technician.
• Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and other mechanical equipment
• Must be a self-starter that is able to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Strong technical knowledge of all building systems and crafts, such as: electrical, heating, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
• Understanding of performance management
• Must be able to lift 50 – 70 lbs.
• High school diploma. (Degree from a vocational school is a plus.)
