Optician/Eyewear Stylist

Mauer Eye Center is seeking resumes for the position of Eyewear Stylist/Optician. Experience is preferred but not necessary as we are willing to train the right candidate who possesses excellent customer service, sales and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate also needs to be a detail oriented person with great communication skills.

Job Duties: 

  • Make repairs and adjustments to eye glasses.
  • Frame Styling, measuring and dispensing glasses.
  • Obtain ABO certification after 1 year of training.
  • Must be proficient with computers and math.

IT/Network Administrator

Mauer Eye Center is looking for an IT/Network Administrator responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the information system. This position is responsible for the network infrastructure (including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, ect.), PC and thin client hardware, server hardware and maintenance of all operation systems. Also included is management of the telephone system, HVAC environmental controls, door access controls, video surveillance and alarm system.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008R2 and Server 2012R2, Windows 7 and 10 Professional operating systems.
  • Knowledge of virtualization using VMWare ESXi hypervisor and vSphere Client.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Terminal Server and Windows 7 Embedded thin client implementation using RemoteAPP.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy Object management.
  • Knowledge of Cisco ASA firewall, switch and wireless technologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as a variety of other business software packages.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server 2013.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 and beyond.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint 2013.
  • Knowledge of web server technologies and WordPress is helpful.
  • Willingness to learn new technology and software as it becomes available.
  • Understanding of the importance of backups and business continuity planning.
  • Have excellent communication, comprehension and writing skills. In addition, problem solving skills are a must.
  • Knowledge of physical and network security principles and auditing so that the practice can remain HIPPA compliant.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to present information and respond to questions from system users.
  • Excellent documentation skills are required.

Licensed Practical Nurse/Certified Medical Assistant

Mauer Eye Center is seeking Full-time CMA’s & LPN’s that are willing to be trained to become ophthalmic assistants.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary testing of the visual system, performing diagnostic testing using computerized testing equipment, maintaining patient’s electronic medical records, assisting providers with procedures, laser treatments & minor office surgery.

This job is fast-paced and requires working well in a team environment. Employees are expected to exhibit excellent patient care and customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Custodian (Part-Time)

 

Part-time Custodian needed for immediate opening.

Scope of position:

This position must ensure the facility maintains a healthy, safe and sanitary environment.

Job Description:

  • Sweep, Mop and vacuum floors.
  • Clean and stock bathrooms.
  • Clean windows.
  • Wipe down walls, doors, baseboards
  • Take out garbage.

Qualifications:

  • Must be reliable.
